Vibrant, colourful and uplifting paintings are Fiona's speciality. She paints using oils, acrylics, watercolours and mixed media. Her style and palette are strongly influenced by the Scottish Colourists and Scotland - where she studied Decorative Design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art.
Her subjects are varied, mostly derived from nature and the outdoors .'Plein air' painting in watercolours gives her plenty of subjects to develop in her studio into oils and acrylics using a palette knife to produce loose, impressionist work.
Living in different countries and mixing with other cultures and nationalities has moulded her style and outlook on life as well as her creativity. She has lived in the south of England since 2009.
As well as exhibiting in Wiltshire, Hampshire, with Artlook (www.artlook.org) and the Guild of Aviation Artists (www.gava.org.uk), Fiona teaches acrylic and watercolour workshops in her studio in Winterslow and runs a weekly art class in Laverstock, Salisbury. She is also a member of Winchester Art Club
