Spring 2013

We work in close Partnership with our Members to help them to promote their work, projects and events to a wider audience via our own trade contacts, social media networking sites and Ebay Shop. We do not buy the rights to work but instead invite artists to pay an annual fee and build a relationship with us based on trust and co-operative effort to facilitate their goals for their artwork. We also work with non members to prints and publish their art as cards, prints, calendars and books.   (Ebay Shop 100% score as of Sept 2011)

AFTER STUDYING FINE ART AT UNIVERSITY, I DISCOVERED MY LOVE FOR TRADITIONAL HAND KNITTING. I LEARNT THE BASICS AS A CHILD BUT SINCE SPENDING A SUMMER AT MY GRANDMOTHERS SUMMER HOUSE IN FINLAND, WHERE I TAUGHT MYSELF TO KNIT FAIR ISLE, I HAVE SHAMELESSLY INDULGED THIS PASSION & NOW PRODUCE A RANGE OF KNITWEAR, FROM MITTENS & BERETS TO FRAMED SAMPLER STYLE PIECES  & GREETINGS CARDS.

During my 15 years working in the textile Industry I continued to be an "occasional" painter. More recently I have developed this further particularly concentrating on still lifes in mixed media.

A Freelance artist Emma Parkin has been drawing and painting

for as long as she can remember,

and is now juggling her creative time with looking after two young children.  Trained at the prestigious Bath College of Art, her work has a detailed, illustrative style, and ranges from representational pencil portraits, to imaginative book illustration and greetings card design. Emma enjoys working in watercolour, gouache, pencil and inks.

A self-confessed perfectionist, Emma admits that she finds it impossible to compromise the quality of her work, which means that she spends hours making sure each picture is just right.
